Made with hyaluronic acid, this can be a terrific choice for filling in small lines around the lips, nose, mouth, and forehead. Frown lines, smile folds, chin creases, and lip wrinkles all can be reduced with these fillers. It can also be used for increasing facial features, such as fuller cheeks, chin, and lips. The effects of Juvéderm last anywhere from 9 months to 1 year and require no maintenance.

1. Topical creams or local anesthesia are used to numb the skin near the injection site.
2. Microneedles are used to gently inject the filler directly beneath the surface of your skin.

Results are typically seen immediately, and you can return to your regular activities the next day.

Administering Juvéderm

The first step is to ensure the areas of the injection sites will be marked and cleaned. After each injection, light pressure and a cold pad are applied to the area to reduce any discomfort. Since hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the human body, other than feeling a slight tingling sensation and some visible redness in the areas of the injections, there are usually no other side effects.
